QSR magazine names the iconic cheesesteak franchise on prestigious list of top-performing brands
In a world full of the same-old fast food joints, Charleys Philly Steaks was recently recognized as one of the top chain restaurants ready to contend with and even outperform the industry’s top players.
Every year, QSR Magazine, an industry expert in the quick-service and fast casual restaurant industry, highlights the franchises that are primed and ready to break through the predictable list of the biggest chain fast-food restaurants, in a ranking based on the U.S. system wide sales, as of 2020 year end.
At the top of the pack this year was Charleys Philly Steaks, the No. 1 cheesesteak franchise in the world, which has become synonymous for quality ingredients, a simple but fan-favorite menu and incredible customer service.
In 2020, for instance, Charleys Philly Steaks reported $425 million in U.S. system-wide sales, with an average sales per unit of $795,00. Charleys also reported 551 units and 496 franchise stores. And, it should be noted, Charleys Philly Steaks was exclusively the only sub sandwich shop included on the rankings, which means the franchise has all but cornered the highly popular market.
QSR Magazine’s rankings for years have been regarded as the go-to source for aspiring entrepreneurs.
