Iconic cheese steak franchise builds on momentum with the recent hire of an innovative executive as new CMO

QSR Magazine broke the news that Brian Hipsher is stepping into the role of Chief Marketing Officer for GOSH Enterprises, the parent company of Charleys Philly Steaks franchise.

Building on one of the strongest years ever in Charleys’s philly cheese steak franchises 35 year history is Hipsher’s own 25 years of experience in marketing, operations, and human resources. As CMO, Hipsher will guide marketing strategy, menu development, digital innovation, advertising, and the overall brand experience.

Previously, Hipsher served as the VP of Marketing at BIBIBOP Asian Grill where he and his team launched multiple digital platforms and a brand guide that achieved double-digit comparable-store sales growth. All within his first year, this ultimately created the foundational marketing processes and systems needed to grow from 27 to 42 locations, according to QSR Magazine.

This past year, Charleys also fully embraced digital platforms with the addition of online ordering and rewards programs that grew to over 250,000 loyalty members. Hipsher coming on board is perfectly timed with the brand’s newfound accessibility, expansion plans, and recent partnership with Walmart. With the help of Hipsher, Charleys and GOSH Enterprise are offering franchise partners a competitive advantage in the booming QSR market.

Following the celebration of 35 years in business, the brand announced its plans to open 100 more stores in 2021.
